Alanna Brown

Alanna started running in 2008 shortly after the birth of her daughter. Alanna grew up playing soccer but kept getting injured out on the soccer field. She had a couple of co-workers who ran with a local running club that invited her out to run with them and the rest is history. Alanna started running 5k’s and 10k’s eventually working up to the half marathon distance. She ran her first marathon in 2011. She’s ran a couple of 50k races and one 50 miler during Covid. London will be her 17th marathon and her 6th and final World Marathon Major (NYC ’14, Chicago ’15, Boston ’18, Tokyo ’19, Berlin ’21). London holds special significance for Alanna since both of her parents are from England originally and will be traveling with her, her daughter, and her boyfriend to spectate and visit with friends and family. She enjoy all endurance activities and races and has completed several Spartan races of varying distances, and numerous triathlons from sprint distance up to half Ironman distance. Alanna is hoping to complete her first full distance Ironman in July at Lake Placid.
