Ambrose Chu

Born and raised in the Boston area, and now living in New York City for over 7 years, Ambrose first got into running after trying out and getting rejected by the high school soccer team, and ended up running cross country and track. He first got into long distance running 10 years ago after signing up for his first Half Marathon in Boston in 2014 with his close college friend from Boston University, and ever since, he ran the New York Marathon 4 times in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2023, and the 2023 Chicago Marathon. He also has experience with multiple Half Marathons after finishing them in Boston, New York, Toronto, Hong Kong and Paris. Although he is not new to London, marathons, or international races, the London Marathon will be Ambrose's first international marathon, and will be his 3rd World Marathon Majors star. Outside of running, Ambrose enjoys spending time with his friends, especially with his NYC run community, Run for Chinatown, traveling, swimming, watching/playing soccer, basketball, and tennis, watching films, enjoying food and wine, and learning about languages and cultures.
