Christiane Regina Gomes

Christiane is an Architect and a Project Management Professional (PMP) with a keen interest in engineering. At 46, she balances her busy life as a married infrastructure project manager with her passion for street running, always with an eye on maintaining a vibrant, healthy future. Christiane thrives on tackling significant challenges and has an impressive roster of marathons and ultramarathons under her belt, including the Madrid Marathon (2016), Las Vegas Marathon (2017), Thomso Marathon (June 22, 2019), and the NY Ultramarathon 60km (November 17, 2018). The North Pole Marathon presents a unique test, pushing her to the limits, especially challenging given her training in Brazil's warm climate, often exceeding 30°C. This race takes place over the Arctic Ocean's ice, providing a stunning and possibly fleeting setting for an amazing challenge. The significance of running in such a pristine environment is not lost on Christiane, who recognizes the potential for these ice landscapes to change dramatically in the coming decades. By completing the North Pole Marathon, Christiane aims to honor her supportive network, including her parents, siblings, in-laws, nephews, friends, and particularly her husband, her constant companion and cheerleader through life's races. In this endeavor, she holds a deep sense of gratitude towards God, acknowledging the divine support in her journey.
