Cristian Sieveking
Cristian Sieveking Vera is a Chilean ultrarunner with over 50 years of experience and more than 160,000 kilometers logged—equivalent to circling the globe over four times. He is a finisher of the World Marathon Challenge and is now pursuing the Marathon Grand Slam. Cristian has completed Brazil135 (217 km) to qualify for Badwater and became the first and only Chilean to finish Badwater135. He was also the first Chilean running for Chile to complete the Marathon des Sables. Cristian has run the Atacama Crossing 250K three times, winning his age group once, and was the first Chilean to complete a race over 160 km—200 km in Israel’s Sovev Emek. He also ran 162 km at the Berlin Wall Ultramarathon. In a remarkable expedition, he crossed the Atacama Desert—1,233 km in 23 days—for a medical research project. In 2023, he celebrated his 70th birthday by running 70 kilometers on a racetrack in 10 hours and 25 minutes.
