Dawei Bian

Dawei, a 52-year-old Chinese national, embarked on his running journey in 2014. Over the years, he has transformed his health, shedding 20 kilograms and adopting a proactive, disciplined lifestyle. His passion for running has taken him to over a hundred marathons and triathlons around the world, marking significant milestones in his athletic career. Dawei’s running resume boasts an impressive array of achievements. He completed his 100th marathon at the Forbidden City Marathon on November 7, 2022. His personal best time of 3 hours and 31 minutes was achieved at the 2019 Seoul Marathon. To date, he has completed 124 full marathons. His dedication extends beyond marathons, with 15 trail races and 15 triathlons under his belt, including his first IRONMAN 226 in Gurye Korea in 2023. Among Dawei’s notable accomplishments, he completed the Virtual World Marathon Challenge (777) in 2020 and has successfully finished two rounds of the Abbott World Marathon Majors so far. His commitment to the sport earned him membership in the inaugural group of the China Exploration Association’s 100 Marathons Club. Driven by an unyielding spirit, Dawei has set his sights on several ambitious goals, including participating in the North Pole Marathon, the Gobi Desert Challenge, and the World Marathon Challenge (7 Marathons 7 Continents 7 Days). He also aims to complete the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona. Beyond his personal achievements, Dawei is a fervent advocate for scientific training methods and a positive lifestyle. His influence has inspired nearly a thousand individuals, including family, friends, and colleagues, to take up running. He has also invested in and nurtured various sports/health projects. Dawei’s running adventures have allowed him to explore diverse corners of the globe, and he looks forward to continuing his journey, challenging himself, and meeting like-minded enthusiasts along the way.
