Biography

Fernando ran his first marathon at the New York City Marathon in 2010 and has since completed over 60 marathons, including all six World Marathon Majors. He has also run marathons on seven continents more than once - including the Antarctic Ice Marathon at Union Glacier in mainland Antarctica and another on King George Island in the Antarctic region. His personal best is 3:18, achieved at the Valencia Marathon in 2019. Now in his mid-60s, Fernando is heading to the top of the world this summer to take on the North Pole Marathon - continuing his passion for adventure and endurance running.
