Guenther Mertins

After thirty-five years of chain-smoking and an extra 20 Kg of weight, Guenther started running on his 50th birthday. Thirteen years later, and still considering himself a little bit overweight, the Antarctic Ice Marathon will be his 25th marathon and the 7th continent he will have completed. Among his twenty-five marathons completed to date are New York, Chicago, Berlin, the Big Five Marathon South Africa, Tokyo, Sydney, and Rio.
