Jeff "Jeffro" Tan

Jeff marathon running was kickstarted over a pint in a musty bar in Melbourne, Australia. He was commencing his final year of business school in 2013, and was drinking with his friend Alex to celebrate on a Wednesday evening. “Jeffro, would you like to run the Melbourne Marathon this year? It'll be a great way to release stress, and we can train together," Alex said. “Um...sure!" Jeff said, four pints in and full of courage. He never realized at that stage just how much his running would take him around the world. His first marathon ten months later was a success, and from there he was hooked. He has run in Melbourne – Australia (2013), Medellin – Colombia (2014), Copenhagen – Denmark (2015), New York – USA (2015), Tokyo – Japan (2017), the Big Five Safari Marathon - South Africa (2018), Los Angeles – USA (2020), and now the Antarctic Ice Marathon. Jeff’s goal was to run all seven continents upon turning forty, and he’s achieving the dream this year right on schedule!
