Lachlan Spark

Lachlan is a 39 year old filmmaker and adventure-lover based in Melbourne, Australia. The Ice Marathon will be his 8th marathon, and while he’s desperate to crack the 3 hour mark one day, he has come to terms with the fact that it’s unlikely to happen on December 13th. Lachlan’s next big fitness goal (other than sub-3) is to run an ultra marathon in 2019, and one day have a crack at the Hawaii Ironman. Lachlan is running the Antarctic Ice Marathon with three of his best mates; Campbell Brown, Tommy Little and Justin Quill — none of whom have run a marathon before, so he has felt like the mother hen getting them prepped. Of course, they’ve all ignored every piece of advice he has offered. In attending this marathon, Lachlan will miss his first wedding anniversary, but he cannot think of a better reason to receive a lifetime of dirty looks than running a marathon on a glacier in Antarctica. Bring it on!
