Matthew Von Ertfelda

A runner-up in Survivor Amazon after surviving 39 days in the jungle who has also successfully forged the Darien Gap and completed a 35 day deep jungle trek through Papua. Competing in his 8th Marathon, Matthew, 42, is looking forward to pushing into new frontiers. Born in Hong Kong, he enjoys endurance racing, but his true passion is exploration. An avid traveller, he also enjoys studying foreign languages and is looking forward to mixing it up with fellow athletes from across the globe.
