Neil MacDonald

A 40-year-old who has completed a number of half-marathons, four full marathons and two ultramarathons, including the 2008 Marathon des Sables. He is travelling to the North Pole with his brother Rory and his father Tom (not running). The brothers are dedicating this race to the memory of their brother-in-law, Capt John McDermid, who was killed in action in November 2007 in Afghanistan.
