Nilo Vergara

Saving patients' lives brings happiness to a neurosurgeon. As a practicing neurosurgeon for the past two decades, Nilo has been jogging and eventually participating in marathons for the last eight years. This pursuit comes with the added bonus of traveling and exploring different parts of the world, which is Nilo's way of unwinding. In 2018, Nilo completed the Abbott World Marathon Majors, namely Tokyo, Berlin, London, New York, Boston, and Chicago. Nilo has finished races on six out of the seven continents: Australia (Gold Coast Airport Marathon), Asia, Europe, North America, South America (Easter Island), and recently completed the Salam Cape Town Marathon in Africa. The Antarctic Ice Marathon will mark Nilo's last continent, and Nilo is eagerly looking forward to finishing this exceptional race. Saving the best for last!
