Ram Gopal Kothari

I was born into a humble, conservative Hindu family in Kolkata, India, and spent my childhood in a small asbestos roof home. Life was simple, resources were limited, but my dreams knew no boundaries. Those early years taught me resilience, discipline, and the belief that circumstances can shape your beginning but never your destiny.

My entrepreneurial journey started from a footpath in Kolkata with nothing more than determination, hard work, and an unwavering belief in myself. Through years of perseverance, I built a successful business, proving that every extraordinary journey begins with a single courageous step.

Beyond business, I found my true passion in exploring the world. My goal is to visit every possible corner of our planet, experience its incredible diversity, and achieve meaningful milestones along the way. So far, I have traveled to 80 countries across all seven continents.

My expeditions have taken me to some of Earth's most remarkable places, including Antarctica, Greenland, Yakutia the coldest inhabited region on Earth Svalbard, home to the world's northernmost permanent settlements, Ushuaia, the southernmost city on the planet, the tribal highlands of Papua New Guinea, the untouched landscapes of Timor Leste, and the remote Pacific paradise of Easter Island.

In 2025, I became the First Indian to complete a full marathon at the Geographic North Pole (90°N), running on floating Arctic sea ice. In 2026, I became the First Indian to complete a marathon on Easter Island (Rapa Nui), one of the world's most isolated inhabited islands.

From an asbestos roof home and a footpath in Kolkata to 80 countries across seven continents, my journey has been driven by curiosity, perseverance, and the courage to chase dreams that once seemed impossible. I believe the world is the greatest classroom, and every journey is an opportunity to learn, grow, and create history. This is only the beginning.
