Yvonne Brown

A charity runner raising funds for three British girls who urgently need treatment for a childhood cancer called neuroblastoma. Yvonne has previously completed one marathon in Vermont (USA) in a quick 3:11 hrs. However, her presence in Vermot was due to her own six-year-old son Jack needing treatment for the disease. Jack had been treated in New York in 2006 and 2007 but it proved unsuccessful and he tragically died the following year (www.jackbrownappeal.org). Running helped Yvonne cope with Jack's loss. As three British girls now desperately need treatment in the U.S.A. for the same disease, she is undertaking the marathon to help raise the necessary funds to enable these children to receive the treatment they so badly need.
